Miranda Ioannou is Managing Director of SCS Limited, which specializes in Professional Conference Organization, Association Management and Strategic Business & Marketing Consulting and Education with special focus on the meetings industry.

With a background in international business, marketing, PR, HR, business development and meeting planning as well as rich experience in multinational organizations in the past 20 years, Miranda in an engaging speaker and has helped associations develop their conferences and their membership offering.

She has also promoted the use of effective meetings as the major means of actively developing strategic business, and is very committed to developing the meeting industry in the region of Cyprus, Greece and the Mediterranean in general. Furthermore, with extensive knowledge on the region of Southern Europe and the Middle East, and by combining the perspective of the customer and supplier sides effectively and constructively, she was the key catalyst that helped and continues to help destinations and venues develop their offering for the meetings industry to international standards

As a consultant to the EU Commission for technology, SMB and e-enablement, she promotes the role of meetings in the development of stronger ties, effective networking and synergies for the future.
Miranda Ioannou lectures on management, strategy, business process re-engineering, strategic marketing, emerging technologies and IT, optimization of people and more, as well as meeting industry-specific topics, ranging from an array of issues, such as strategic meetings management, effective meetings, ROI/ROO, destination marketing, tradeshow participation, familiarization trips, new media, networking, career focus and more.

Miranda also holds a seat at the Board of Directors of ICCA, as Co-Chair of the Meetings Management Sector and is the ICCA Mediterranean Chapter President. Meanwhile, she is serving on the Awards and Recognition Committee of MPI and is a member of the Global Development Committee.
