Company Profile

As many as 118 major trade fairs have been scheduled to take place in 2008 in Brazil, all of which are promoted by each sector’s main and most representative promoters. Business people, buyers, suppliers and decision-makers that are active not only in Brazil but throughout the world meet, network and find information on the newest trends and products in the Brazilian exhibitions. Being Brazil the 8th world economy with circa US$ 1.4 trillion, over 31,000 companies of all sizes – more than 120,000 trademarks – find excellent opportunities for business, promotion of their products and services and for reinforcing visibility to their brand, in addition to considerably improving their competitiveness.

Corporate tourism in Brazil has been for a long time one of the main components of national tourism, trade fairs being its highlight. Together, these fairs account for more than 5 million visitors from all over the country, per year. Thanks to its mature and stable economy and its growing hotel network, Brazil still offers major growth possibilities to the trade fairs and events sector.
According to ICCA country rankings for 2007, measured by the number of meetings organized last year, Brazil took the eighth place with 209 meetings. In 2006, it was the first Latin American country ever to make the top 10 and now it seems to consolidate its position.
