Company Profile
Exhibition Studies Institute is a non-profit company aiming at the scientific analysis of exhibition activities and the extraction of useful conclusions for the state and the economy. Specifically, the Institute maintains a database concerning exhibition centres and events held in Greece.
The Institute collects data from all trade fairs held and conducts sampling surveys at typical key-exhibitions (exhibition auditing) in order to specify their degree of success and the dynamism of the sector they represent.
Furthermore, it sets and updates specifications for the operation of exhibition centres and events, according to international standards. It weighs the economic effects of exhibition events on local and regional economy, econometrically calculating the exhibition multiplying effect, as well as the effects of exhibitions on basic macroeconomic scales, such as increase of income per capita, increase in job openings, etc. The Institute also conducts studies submitted to State Agencies in regard to competitive sectors of the national economy and the need to support exhibition sectors that can become competitive within an international environment.
The Institute provides consulting services to anyone with an interest in its study fields. The chambers of Thessaloniki, important agencies of the national economy and the University of Macedonia are partners in the Institute
