CYPRUS EMBASSY TRADE CENTRE ATHENS
Cyprus Trade Center Athens was founded 26 years ago having the objective to promote the trade and economic interests of Cyprus in the Greek market, as well as to work towards the improvement of the relations between Cyprus and Greece, especially between Cypriot and Greek businessmen.In 1960, after the independence of Cyprus the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus in order to promote the trade and economic relations of the newly established Republic of Cyprus decided the operation of Cyprus' Trade Center in different countries, which would work as the commercial section of the local Embassies of the Republic of Cyprus. However, CTCs' belong to and, are part of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus which operate under its directions for its own purposes.
CTC Athens has substantially contributed to the development of trade bonds and relations between Cyprus' business world with its counterpart in Greece. In general, Athens CTC plays an important role at the evolution of trade and economic relations between the two countries. Consequently, Athens' Trade Center maintains excellent relations with all the Greek Commercial Chambers, especially that of Athens, Piraeus and Thessaloniki Trade and Industry Chambers and with the Central Union of Greek Chambers.
